Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She spent most of her youth listening to classic music and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music and older classical songs. Ana loves tangos as well the dramatic and opera performances. At age 16 she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense singing instruction. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. As a student and being a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she sang with several chamber groups and choirs. After moving from Mexico to America at the age of 2000, she sang for the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Passion and enthusiasm for art, music, and performing keeps her involved with a variety of local initiatives as a performer and teacher. Ana is also a previous member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance songs from Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially for the young generation in keeping the music alive.
